Macy Wurmlinger - Colonial Woods 3
The Colonials Woods 3 quiz with New Faith 2 started out close with the teams tied with 40 at question 5. Bekah Munro then got hot and by question 12 she had quizzed out and staked her team to 60 point lead. With Bekah out, Colonial Woods began to chip away at the lead. Macy got her first question on Number 18 and pulled CW within 20. Mitch pulled the team into a tie with a correct answer on Q19. Q20 was tough and everyone sat. Q21 was a different story with Macy taking the light and getting the answer to lead her team to a hard fought win. Way to go Macy!
Haleigh Reese - Warren
Warren faced Midland 1 late in the morning on Saturday. Caleb Alexander of Midland had a tough quiz and had errored out by Question 8. Warren had picked up a bonus and a question and the quiz was tied. Midland and Warren traded errors and bonuses for a while and at Q16 Midland held a slim 20 point lead. Jillian Lyne took Q17 to pull Warren into a tie. The quiz was still tied at Q20 when Haleigh got her first jump of the quiz and topped it off with a correct answer to give her team a 20 point victory. Nice Job Haleigh!!
