Zach Schmitt - Open Door 4
Zach is a first year quizzer quizzing experienced. If that wasn't hard enough he didn't start quizzing until December. He has caught on fast! Zach waited until the 21st question in an Open Door 4 vs Open Door 3 battle. After 20 questions they were all tied up. Zach was waiting for the right time and his only jump of the quiz was on question 21 but he got it to win the quiz for OD 4.

Alissa Bujak - New Faith 1
New Faith 1 and Colonial Woods 2 had a great quiz. The battle between the 1st and 2nd place rookie teams was one for the record books. From question 11 through question 18 the quiz went back and forth by 10 points with the teams alternating correct answers. With her team down by 10 points Lissa jumped on question 19 and got the answer giving her a team a 4 quizzer bonus ending the 10 pt see-saw match. No one jumped on question 20 and New Faith went on to victory and got 1 quiz closer to CW 2 in the standings.

Had a couple of quotes for January but didn't write them down. However the picture of Bill wearing goggles with a 'potty run' sign will be forever etched in our memory. (If someone has a picture of that I would be happy to post it)
