Caleb Alexander - Midland 2
Midland 2 and New Faith 2 were in a very tight quiz. The lead had switched back and forth and at question 15 NF2 had a slim 20 point lead. Midland was up ten at 18 and them down 10 at 19. Caleb took the light and won the quiz on question 20. He had been silent after getting question 4 right. He just likes to pick his spots. Great Job Caleb!
Brendan Macias - Yale Trinity 2
Yale Trinity 2 and Royal Oak 2 were also having a close back and forth battle. There were 4 lead changes and at question 15 Yale was down 10. After a great timeout pep talk they took 16 and 17 to stake out a 30 point lead. Brendan missed 18 and then a critical error by one of his teammates on question 20 (5th error) dropped them into a tie. Never fear, Brenden atoned for his previous error and bailed the team out with a crucial jump and correct answer in overtime. Way to get it done Brendan.
