The Missionary
Church, Inc. is an evangelical denomination that is committed to
church planting and world missions. Its roots reach back to the Anabaptist
Reformation of the 1520s in Europe from which various Mennonite groups
emerged. The United Missionary Church and the Missionary Church Association
merged in 1969 to become the Missionary Church, Inc. Between 1990 and
1998, the Missionary Church in the United States planted more than 133
new churches and has adopted 14 more formerly independent churches.
During the same period of time, the Missionary Church sent missionaries
into 11 new countries and areas of the world. It is now a denomination
of 333 churches in the U.S. and over 1,200 churches worldwide. The Missionary
Church also supports over 122 missionaries in 21 countries. The Missionary
Church, Inc. has its denominational headquarters in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Parkside Community Church is a member of the Michigan
District, which is made up of 54 churches and has its headquarters
in Burton, Michigan. The Michigan District offers many opportunities
for involvement for our churches. Some of these include children's camps,
youth camps, bible quizzing, Brown City Family Camp, Women's Ministries,
and others.
